Hotel Gillow - Mexico City

I enjoyed a lovely view from my balcony and the friendly staff made my stay good. The loud nearby music disrupted my sleep, and the shower pressure was quite weak.

Beautiful and wonderful hotel, I loved its very central location near the Zocalo plaza, the center of Mexico City, and the historical Center sights and famous restaurants. Had a really good stay here.

Great service and the food is great. Moreover, they offer free Wi-Fi which allows me to work throughout the property.

Breaking it down, plain and simple

Fantastic value for a comfortable stay! Clean rooms, good breakfast. Its proximity to El Zócalo and Madero Avenue is unbeatable, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere right at your doorstep. Be prepared for some street noise, but overall, a charming experience that's hard to beat!

The location was great and awesome for traveling around Mexico City, adjacent to the bus station as well as Centro. A few times I ate at Centro Castellano, located approx 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel.

The location offers easy access to the vibrant Zocalo. A good breakfast with fresh organic products was included. Accessible seating in the common areas could be improved, as it felt cramped at times. Although the rooms were nice and clean, there was a noticeable lack of sound insulation, which detracted from relaxation.

The location is super convenient, just a short walk to Zocalo. My room had a nice balcony with a view of the busy street. The bathroom included shampoo and towels, and the room had good airflow due to the fan. Breakfast was tasty with various options like fresh fruit and coffee. The dining area had a cozy vibe.

The hotel offered a great rooftop jacuzzi and a cozy lounge area to unwind after a long day. The only downside was the outdated decor, but it didn't spoil my experience at all. I'd recommend trying their breakfast too 😊

I got a fan and an upgrade to a cooler room. Breakfast was flexible, awesome. The only downside was a bit of air flow trouble at first, but they sorted it out pretty quick.

The aging infrastructure shows signs of neglect, particularly in the room where I found worn towels with holes and poor water pressure in the shower. The lack of air conditioning, especially with insufficient insulation against the street noise. Curtains were stained and mismatched .
